Bonanno Family Don Juan – Vincent Basciano

Former Bonanno Family boss Vincent “Vinny Gorgeous” Basciano has found a way to persuade the FBI to bend a little prison rule. Basciano has been granted permission to have not only his wife but also his mistress or “goumada” visit him in jail on alternate weeks. Typically only relatives of the inmate would be allowed visitation rights.

Basciano is serving out his life sentence for racketeering and is awaiting another trial for murder in which he could get the death penalty. Basciano is being held in condition usually used for terrorist being locked up in cell 23 hours a day as he is suspected of forming a hit list which included a federal judge and prosecutor. This list is being argued by Basciano as nothing of the sort.

Angela Basciano divorced her husband in a uncontested case after he was convicted of racketeering charges in 2006. Basciano also has a child with his long time mistress Debra Kalb , making the case for visitation rights a little more complicated. The Fed’s did not want to limit either womens rights to visit Basciano or the time allowed by prison policy but wanted to make sure that the visits would not intersect to cause anykind of problem.
