Gambino Family Rat DiLeonardo continues his Deep Thinking on the Stand

Mikey DiLeonardo a one time gambino family member turned federal rat is still taking to the stand against his former Mafia family. DiLeonardo known as “Mikey Scars” is considered by the Fed’s to be there go to rat for any trial against the Gambino Crime Family. DiLeonardo has basically made being a rat into his living as he is on the Federal payroll reported at $4,500 a month and resides in the witness protection program.

DiLeonardo made his most recent appearence at the Boyle’s trial and had plenty to say. Mikey Scars says that remembering things from the past such as criminal acts and information on certain people is an art. DiLeonardo while on the stand explained how memory is funny and that he simply needed something to trigger his memory and ya say oh yeah thats right i remember. DiLeonardo said conversations with the Fed’s would bring about things that may have been hidden away in his memory and he simply needed a trigger to remember them.

Mikey Scars said given a figure like maybe Junior Gotti he could start thinking on the certain subject and remember more and more things. DiLeonardo says he is simply a “Deep Thinker” and that defense lawyers dont understand the real him. Ofcourse being property of the Fed’s and on their payroll can make one remember as much information as needed to stay in their good gracies it seems. Asked by one defense lawyer if he ever had a “false memory” and realized that something he may have remembered did not quite happen as he thought DiLeonardo nodded and said ” Sure , that could happen”.

DiLeonardo over the last few years has really been a thorn in the side of the Gambino family as he continues to testify and put more family members behind bars. The Fed’s are always looking for that key informant with the indepth information to cripple a family and DiLeonardo has been a diamond in the ruff against the Gambino’s.
