Junior Gotti eyeing Book , Documentary, and full feature film

Looks like John “Junior” Gotti is ready to tell his story and tell it to the whole world. Junior Gotti is considering doing a documentary film , a book , and even a full feature film on his life and the Gambino crime family. Gotti who was once the head of the Gambino crime family appointed by his infamous dad John Gotti also known as the “Teflon Don” and “Dapper Don” is looking to make deals to tell his father-son tail about his father and growing up as the son of a mafia boss.
Junior would go on to take the reigns of the Gambino family after his Gotti Sr was indicted and given a life sentence for racketeering. Junior maintains his story that he left the Gambino family in 1999 and from then on was no longer associated with organized crime. The Fed’s did not believe Gotti and have gone after him on 4 separate occasions in attempts to convict him on organized crime related charges and his long criminal record but failed on all of their attempts. Now the Fed’s say there will be no 5th attempt to convict Junior he is free to tell his story.
Junior is already in cooperation with Triplicity Entertainment a smaller New York based production company who was formed in part by Tony D’Aiuto who was one of Junior’s attorneys for his last trial. Gotti said he intends to be involved in the whole process of the screenplays and productions. Junior who spent about nine years in prison including three whole years in solitary confinement said he began writing his story down about four years ago and is about 75% finished with the book. Gotti is scheduled to make an appearance on “60 Minutes” on CBS April 11th and is planning on using the appearance to clear up some of the misconceptions about him and his family he said. Gotti said he has already been approached about making his documentary which would include the emotional last meeting in prison between him and his dad before Gotti Sr later died from cancer as the encounter was filmed.
Junior has yet to sign with an agent and there has not been a director set for the documentary by Triplicity but the plan on completing the documentary by the spring of 2011. Many wonder how much information Junior is willing to actually give up in something such as this as many who follow the organized crime scene know loose lips sink ships. But D’Aiuto was reported as saying that Junior is willing to go all the way with this thing revealing as much as possible without hurting anyone who is still active and involved in the crime family and organized crime in general. With crime families based on staying as quiet as possible it should be interesting to see what actually comes out of Junior’s plans and if we could see something in the lines of Soprano’s etc type of movie.
