Rizzuto Mafia Family response expected

With the murder of Vito Rizzuto’s son Nick Rizzuto Jr canadian organized crime experts expect a response from the Rizzuto mafia clan. The kind of response will speak volumes as to the strength and organization of the Rizzuto Family today. The retaliation may also go a long way into giving police an idea of who killed Rizzuto Jr. Canadian organized crime experts await to see if the Rizzuto Family response takes place in Southern Ontario, Southern Quebec, or maybe even right in Montreal.

The once powerful influence that Vito Rizzuto once held over Ontario and Montreal may now be in decline since his conviction and the Rizzuto Family may now be fighting for its survival. Police are not sure if the killing of Rizzuto was a possible inside power move ,  Calabrian Mafia Families in Ontario looking to seize power , or a drug hit performed by Canadian Street Gangs who had recently had disagreements with Rizzuto over drugs.

The Rizzuo Family has been hit hard by convictions since 2001 when the family’s Ontario crew and main power base was hit in operation “Project Colisee”. Wire taps and other information led to convictions of top lieutenants and Vito Rizzuto who was the families first Godfather in 2006. The way the Rizzuto family responds to this type of action of the murder of the Families Boss’s son will without a doubt provide a measure of strength of the Rizzuo Family today.
